Anthurium is a genus of over 1000 species of plants, also know as the flamingo flower or laceleaf and are available in a wide range of colours. They are distributed across Central America and the Caribbean and can be found as far south as Argentina. The flowers on this plant are on the fleshy spike emerging from the top of the colourful bract which is a type of modified leaf. If cared for well these plants can flower regularly through the year.nn

Light requirements

Anthurium Anthedesia White likes to be in an area with bright sunlight, however direct sunlight may scorch its leaves so direct midday sun should be avoided.

Watering requirements

Flamingo Flowers don't like too much water, a good rule of thumb is to let the top two inches of the soil in the pot to dry out before giving it another drink.

Humidity requirements

Anthurium Anthedesia White can cope in a location with normal household humidity, however it will thrive in a location with higher humidity. If it is in a spot with normal humidity we recommend occasional misting to keep the foliage looking fresh.
