Anthurium is a genus of over 1000 species of plants, also know as the flamingo flower or laceleaf and are available in a wide range of colours. They are distributed across Central America and the Caribbean and can be found as far south as Argentina. The flowers on this plant are on the fleshy spike emerging from the top of the colourful bract which is a type of modified leaf.
