Polystichum tsus-simense, commonly known as Korean rock fern or Korean tassel fern, is a deciduous fern native to Korea and Japan. It is a compact and slow-growing fern with glossy, dark green fronds that are bipinnate and triangular in shape, reaching a height of around 30-45 cm. The fronds emerge in a vase-like shape and mature into a graceful fountain-like habit, making it a beautiful addition to rock gardens, woodland gardens, and shady borders. It prefers moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade, and is relatively low-maintenance.
