Veronica spicata is a member of the Veronica genus, which is made up of around 500 species. Often referred to as Speedwell they are mostly native to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Most of the Veronicas grown in gardens are summer-flowering perennials, with tall varieties that produce spires of delicate flowers and other small spreading varieties that are perfect for ground cover.

Veronica spicata ‘Inspire Rose’ is a versatile plant and can cope with wet or drier soils, but prefers there to be decent drainage. This plant can grow in soil with a wide range of pH levels, it is not picky about the pH level of the soil.
Veronica spicata ‘Inspire Rose’ prefers a sheltered position and can cope with either full sun or partial shade.
Veronica spicata ‘Inspire Rose’ will benefit from deadheading after it finishes flowering this will help the plant by redirecting energy from seed production to flower and root production.
Veronica spicata ‘Inspire Rose’ is generally pest free, it can be vulnerable to certain diseases such as leaf spot, powdery mildews and downy mildews. It is also known to attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It is not considered to be toxic.
