Description

Widely referred to as Cypress trees they are true cypresses but many related genera have members which are also referred to as Cypress, most prominently members of Chamaecyparis genus. Members of the genus are mostly trees although there are some shrubs. Like most conifers they are all evergreen and produce small needle-like leaves closely arranged along their branches. They are very easy to grow and once they have established themselves need practically no care whatsoever. There are also some very fast growing varieties especially the hybrid Cypressus x leylandii.
