David Austin Roses ‘Wisley 2008’: A beautiful English rose variety known for its perfect rosette shaped blooms that are shallowly cupped, about 3 inches across, and are a very pure light pink color. The outer petals of the blooms pale prettily towards the edges. The plant has an elegantly arching growth habit, producing its flowers along the stems and forming a fine, vigorous shrub. It reaches a mature height and width of around 4.5ft (140cm). This repeat-flowering variety was introduced by David Austin in 2008. It is well-suited for use in mixed borders, shady areas, cutting gardens and adapts well to all soil types and full or partial sunlight. The variety is named after the famous RHS Gardens at Wisley, where many English Roses are planted. This variety should not be confused with a rose named ‘Wisley’ which, although beautiful, did not live up to David Austin’s standards for health.
