Francis E Lester’ Rose

Rosa ‘Francis E Lester’: A beautiful rambler rose variety known for its large bunches of small, single blooms in a blush white color delicately tinted with pale pink at the edges and later becoming almost pure white, giving the impression of apple blossom. The blooms have a strong and pleasant musky fragrance. It produces masses of small, oval, orange-red hips in the autumn. The plant has strong, bushy growth with elegant, pointed, glossy dark green foliage and can reach a height of 20ft (6m). It is a once-flowering variety and was introduced by Lester Rose Gardens in 1946. This variety is well-suited for use in large arches, shady areas, gardens that attract bees, large structures like pergolas and can be trained into small trees. It adapts well to all soil types and full or partial sunlight.
