Description
Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Gold Star’ is a small evergreen shrub with a dense, compact habit, growing up to 2m (6.5ft) tall and wide. It has glossy, oval-shaped leaves that are a striking green, silver and white colour, which mature to a dark green with age. It produces small, insignificant purple-brown flowers in late spring to early summer, which are followed by small, rounded seed capsules. This plant is suitable for growing in a range of soils and prefers full sun to partial shade. It is an excellent choice for adding colour and texture to a mixed border or for use as a low hedge. It requires little maintenance other than regular pruning to maintain its shape and size.
