Adiantum is a genus of over 250 ferns that are distinctive due to their sharp dark or black stems with delicate bright green foliage. They are found across the Americas, Asia and New Zealand.

Light requirements
Adiantum raddianum prefers bright indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight as this can scorch the leaves.
Watering requirements
The maidenhair fern likes its soil to stay moist at all times
Humidity requirements
Requires higher levels of humidity. If placed in an area with normal air be sure to mist the fronds regularly to make them stay green and healthy.
Growth
Can reach lengths of up to 50cm but is a slow grower. It will also be restricted by the size of pot it is in.
